More Ranting
November 9, 2004

It doesn't't cease to amaze me. The election is a week old, and instead of the nation having a rally of unity in support of our majority elected president, we are crying and whining about how it was the wrong choice. Instead of there being unity, as usual the Dem's have decided to divide rather than unite. Listen to how supporters of the current president and congress have been labeled: stupid, racist, backward thinking, homophobes, and many other not too nice things. This from a party who claims that republicans, moderates and conservatives are derisive. How can we be? Who did we label? Why are we such bad people? What evidence do we have. My question, as well as hypothesis is when is the left and the liberal elite media going to wake up and see the truth and not continue to believe what they keep telling themselves??? Think about this, who brought race into the campaign, who made homosexuality an issue, who made social class an issue and who won? You can answer all of those questions but one, resoundingly democrats. Think about this further. Republican's campaigned on a platform of strong defense, tax cuts for working families, and a better retirement system for all. What was it that the Democrats said was their platform? Divisiveness! Republican's are trying to take your health care, they want to steal the retirement system for the rich, they want to kill your babies in a useless war. Who is being negative and who is being divisive. The left claims that the reason for their loss was because of religion, I claim that it was because of values. I am so happy any time one of the leaders of the Dem's gets up to speak. Each time he does, he wins more voters for the conservative and moderate agenda. They profess hate and evil; we profess helping others, hand ups not handouts, less government involvement in your lives, and more personal responsibility. Every time these democratic pundits speak, they lose that much more of their grip on reality. They really have no clue as to how the majority of the population thinks and feels, but they believe that they can think and feel better for us, than with us. Since the election, I have heard the majority of the population called stupid because there is no way that anyone with any intelligence could vote for Bush. Well, I have an IQ well over 160 and feel that I know more about what is going on in the population than most of those who call themselves media. It really isn't that they don't know, they hope to keep us from knowing the truth. Yet another reason for this blog. Read this and if you have questions about things and can't find the answer yourself, I can do it. The election was decided by a bunch of homophobes who didn't't want gay marriage. I am sorry, did this enter the platform of the republican party and I missed it? If you look at the results of the election in states where the gay marriage amendments were; first they were only in about 10 states, so what brought out the vote in the other 27?? Secondly, in states where it was contested, the overwhelming majority of people voted for the amendments to ban the marriages, while the election in these states was much closer than this. So why is this a deciding issue? If it were truly the reason for people going to the polls, don't you believe that the margin of victory would have been larger? Or shouldn't't the amendments failed miserably because such a small majority of the population supported Bush? Or could it be that unfortunately, most educated voters think for themselves and obviously didn't't vote in a straight line for both the presidential candidate and the amendment? The media first and the democrats second need to realize that the farther they keep trying to bring the country to the left, the more the company is going to backlash against them and keep voting them out of office. Ask Tom Daschel what he is going to be doing for the next 6 years since he no longer will represent his state. Ask John Kerry what is going on after the election. They will continue to tell you that the voice of America wasn't't heard, and what they don't realize is that it was and they still aren't't listening. The more that they continue to spout hate, bigotry and negativity; the more that they continue to believe that America supports their radical social, health, and governmental policies; and the more that they believe that they can make better decisions for us, than with us, then the more power the conservative movement will gain and continue to grow. The election wasn't't won because of hatred for gays, blacks, or health care; the election was won because people could identify with the President and couldn't't with Kerry. The election was won (with the largest turn out in years (%), and highest number ever) because people want to have decisions on their health care and don't want to leave it to the government, they want to chose how they will retire and they want to go to bed each night peacefully and not be reminded about September 11th. It is when the Dem's realize all of these things and come back to the center that they will return to power in Washington.

Let's start at the very beginning
Mood:  loud
Topic: A little Explaining
The election is finally over and some of us are happy and some of us are sad. Should I say that the majority of us are happy and the minority is sad? The thing that is making this whole victory a little disheartening for some, is the whole second guessing that is going on by the media and all the spin doctoring that is occurring that is made to diminish the victory that did occur. I will get to all of those over the next two weeks. You will hear some of my opinions, those that I am borrowing from others (I listen to quite a bit of media that isn't part of the leftist media) and some of them will be research that I have done on my own in the attempt to try and show you how fictitious the claims out there are. I am a very staunch republican, I can't every try to hide that, I don't want to hide that. I grew up in a two parent household, I had a brother and a sister and an older sister who died of SIDS, that will explain some things later. I am a 34 yo second career accountant. I have two dogs, two birds and a lovely wife. No kids yet. I have wanted to be political involved since I was a little kid and first met the great communicator (for those of you who don't know, Ronald Reagan). Unfortunately, my wife is so anti-political that she can't let me even think about it, and I respect that. Now that brings me here, 12 years ago, I cried for a couple of hours, slick willie had won and I was pissed and sad. I didn't realize that what he was, was no more than a hollowed out version of Ronnie. Think about it, think about what he said, he even said it to Kerry right before his heart surgery, telling him it would come down to morals and personal ideals. If you think about bubba, he never crossed too many controversial lines, was a very effective communicator and was the best thing that either side had to offer. So we had eight years of bubba, some of them good and some of them bad, but the Americans never really allowed him to go to far out of control, hence the elections of 1994 and the re centering of the congress. Then in 2000, W came along to really recenter the nation. The nation spoke, the election wasn't stolen... read a few basic legal books and you will find that out. The Gore crew wanted a recount of votes only in the counties where he was popular, they didn't want to apply the criteria to the whole state. Bush's team argued that wasn't fair, the way the law in Florida was written was that if one county was to be recounted the whole state was. Dem's fearing that a recount of the whole state would likely produce both republican votes as well as democratic votes, they appealed. The Florida SC, wanting to make laws, not interpret them sided with Gore. What is more partisan than that? Now if you want some fun, read the retort, read the US SC's decision. It didn't side with either side, it just told Florida's SC that if they were going to have a standard they had to be fair with the application, otherwise their interpretation of the law was unconstitutional. The SC told them to rethink their decision and reinterpret the law. The Florida SC just sent back the same decision with moderate changes and not answering the US SC's original questions. The US SC slapped them down again and told them nope again. This ended it for Gore. Read any NYT, WP, USA Today article, on the recount. They all tell you that when you recount all counties, Bush is still the winner. IE: when you apply the law evenly and not make it read how you want to, making new law, you get Bush as the winner. I will fight this argument with anyone, you will lose, I will win. so before you challenge me on it, read the Florida Majority Decision as well as the US SC's majority and then try and fight me about it. Now Bush has won the most recent election. Pretty easily!!! I will spend upcoming days and weeks catching you up on some things like CBS's calling of the election and who won which states, Dem spin doctoring after the election and what will come. My reason for this blog which has taken me a whole lot of BS to tell you, is to help to re legitimize the re-election of W. Since, his re-election the Liberal Elite (aka CBS, NBC and ABS) have done their best to try and blame the loss of Kerry on Puffy, Kerry's ineptness, Kerry's wife (who while a bitch, if Clinton could win with Hilary, then Kerry should have been able to win with Theresa), Gay Marriage amendments (there were only 10 or 11 states with this Amendment on the ballot, then how did he win all but about 13 states) to many things to numerous to go into here. So, I am pissed, tired of the media telling the story they want to tell, not being bi partisan and impartial as they are suppose to be (I was a journalism major - they all swear to be impartial, ask Dan Rather). So here is my feeble attempt to hopefully keep the record straight. You may not like it, I don't care, you may love it, cool. You may never read it, oh well, your loss. Try and be civil tongued, don't use too much fowl language and don't ever pick on the Yankees, that will get you banned quickly (we can talk sports too if you want). There are a few more ground rules. This won't ever contain discussions about abortion or gun control. Let's put it this way if I ever ran for politics, I would start off by saying "the Genie is already out of the bottle, we can't ever put them back in." I will explain my thoughts on abortion more in depth later when I get to SC justices, but the short and the sweet of it is - you are never going to be able to end people owning guns or women getting abortions, so get over it. Spend your time fighting more relevant issues like taxation, military preparedness and the war on terrorism, among other topics. The final thing is gay marriage, get off of it. It's a states' right issue, more on this when I discuss abortion and justices, but I have many homosexual friends, and don't feel like taking the hard line on this issue and don't feel like I even want to open this Pandora's's box. So, that you have heard about me, if you read my blog, before you rant on about why I am write or wrong, tell me about yourself, (be much briefer though).
